Windows Vista Service Pack One (SP1)

Finally Microsoft have rolled out the new service pack, and i've updated our 3 vista PC's with it. The install worked fine on all of them, and it seems to have improved stuff, file transfers especially. I've found there is a noticeable increase in the speed it takes to fling files over our network, and it takes less time to "think" when you initiate a transfer. (Before explorer used to freeze for about 10 seconds while it was doing stuff.)

It's a 65MB update, and took me no longer than about 45 minutes to complete the whole install and download. Downloading the update took longer than my connection is capable of though, I guess the Windows Update servers were getting hit quite badly by the update.

The Release Notes.
