I was impressed by the new iPod Touch. Retina display? HD camera? Hell yes.
Browsing the iPod Touches on the Apple store though, I noticed there isn't a 16GB model. Why? There's a 16GB iPhone and Nano, why not a Touch model?
8GB is too little space, and £249.00 is too much to pay for an iPod for someone in my position. A 16GB model would've been the sweet spot. Surely other people are in the same position?
Perhaps they wanted to have a more diverse price range, but wanted to keep four product options. Or perhaps they wanted to annoy me because I'm the only one wanting that much storage.

I asked the same question as soon as this was announced during Steve Jobs latest event speech. Does seem strange to try and force people to opt for the larger capacity model even if they don't feel they need it.
