QR (Quick Response) Codes

A QR Code

During BBC Click, they did an item about QR codes, which are very common in Japan, and are just being introduced into the UK. Intrigued by the idea of a code that was able to be decoded by a mere mobile phone Java app, I began to Google, and shortly came across this article on Wikipedia, and the Kaywa Reader. Obviously I had never heard of the last one before, so I began sining up and downloading the application. When transferring it to my phone through my PC didn't work, I jumped on Opera Mini and downloaded it from there.

I've now been snapping the QR Codes all day, and it hasn't ceased to amaze me the amount of times the phone gets the code right, especially with my Sony Ericsson W300i camera quality.

So, I did a quick Google and found a web QR creator, and made a few QR Codes, one of which is to the right of this post. (Click it to get a larger version)
