I buy and download a lot of apps on the app store, the vast majority of them free. It still boggles my mind that Apple feel it necessary to send you a non-optional receipts for these "purchases" - it really does seem unbelievably stupid. What, am I going to want to get a refund for my free app or something?
Apple really have should changed their "purchasing" system to accommodate for free stuff sold on iTunes, and perhaps made emails for these items optional. I personally don't want a record of my past free purchases, and feel that if anything they should really be stored and accessible from inside iTunes and attached to my account instead of relying on my inbox.
